Hi,
Could you provide more system info?
Is there VM using? (like OS : Ubuntu 14.* - 64 bit on VM workstation *.*.* on Win 7 Enterprise 64-bit)
Are there using some antivirus system(s) like System Center Endpoint Protection?
If yes, is it possible to try to start VTune with antivirus system switched off?

Thanks,

Also, what values do you have for the LC_* environment variables? For example,

	LC_PAPER="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="en_US.UTF-8"

These settings have caused issues in the past.
