amplxe-gui segmentation fault on startup

Hi,

I have installed "Intel(R) VTune(TM) Amplifier XE 2016 Update 2" on my Linux host.

The executable "amplxe-gui" is crashing on startup . Pasted below the stack trace of the core dump. Please let me know if I missed any prerequisites before verifying the this GUI.

Hi,
Could you provide more system info?
Is there VM using? (like OS : Ubuntu 14.* - 64 bit on VM workstation *.*.* on Win 7 Enterprise 64-bit)
Are there using some antivirus system(s) like System Center Endpoint Protection?
If yes, is it possible to try to start VTune with antivirus system switched off?

Yes I am using Linux Virtual Machine (VM) with 64 bit CentOS release 6.3. Pasted below the "uname -a" command output on VM.

"Linux acme190 2.6.32-279.14.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Nov 6 23:43:09 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux"

Regarding the environment variables I just have "LC_ALL=C" variable set.

Are you running this VM on top of Windows OS? Can you disable anti-virus SW on your Win system and try launching VTune again?

If you run VM under Windows and switching off anti-virus SW does not help, could you provide listing of the following commands?

>ls /usr/lib64/gio/modules
and
>strings /lib64/libstdc++.so.6 | grep GLIBC
if you have listdc++.so on the CentOS 6.3 some other version in the /lib64 directory then replace 6 by correct version (for example 5 instead of 6) and execute the command.

It does not mean to rename the libstdc++.so.6 in /lib64 on the machine. It means need to correct/update the line/command below to appropriate version of libstdc++ on the machine.
