Intel-specific performance counters

Dear all,

Is there a place where I can get the Intel-specific performance counters? I have been using PAPI to measure counters on AMD CPUs but if I understand correctly, they have different names on Intel CPUs.

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question as I do not use VTune.

All supported Intel-specific performance counters can be found under VTune Amplifier XE 2011\documentation\en\help, if you have installed VTune Amplifier XE 2011.

If you work on unsupported processors, you stillcan use Hotspots analysis, Concurrency analysis, Locks and Waits analysis, OS timer interrupt will be used.
