Intel Advisor caused an assertion failure on windows 10 + Visual Studio 2017

Hi,

I repeated have a problem on my windows 10 + visual studio 2017.

The Intel OneAPI version I use is 2021.3.

Every time I try to use Intel Advisor in the analysis windows, if I choose Accuracy to be more than Low, like if I choose Medium or High, I will encounter the error,

Intel Advisor caused an assertion failure

It cannot send crash info automatically, but here I attach the crash_info.txt

When this issue occur, the Visual Studio basically freeze and I have to terminate it.

Does anyone know what is wrong and how to solve this crash problem?

Hello,

Just to let you know that the identical crash has been fixed in advisor some time ago and the fix is available in the latest updates. So upgrading to latest Advisor Update (I would use 2021.4 version which is already released or to be released some time this/next week) should help.

Hi @CRquantum, Advisor 2021.4 is available for download as a standalone tool at https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/oneapi-standalone-components.html#advisor or as part of oneAPI Base Toolkit 2021.4 at https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/tools/oneapi/base-toolkit/download.html

Please let us know if using the new version of Advisor helped.
