What's the best way to view vtune result on MacOS

I used to use Intel VTune Profiler as the GUI but its MacOS support discontinued after 2023.2. And I wonder what's the best way to view VTune's report on MacOS today?

I recommend you install a VTune Profiler Server on the target device, and analyze and view VTune data via browser, please refer to the user guide for the details:

I am a long-time Vtune user, who loves powerful tools like Vtune! But, I am relatively new to the "newer versions" with the setup like the web server backend.

My feedback would be that the onboarding experience is not smooth yet. At least that's my first impression/experience.

As an example:

1. I am on 2023.1 documentation and I click macOS (viewing only) link on that page. It takes me to the 2024.1 installation page: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/vtune-profiler/installation-guide/2024-1/overview.html.

2. I am on the 2023.0 installation page https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/vtune-profiler/installation-guide/2023-0/macos.html and click Download link which takes me to https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/tools/oneapi/vtune-profiler-download.html. There are no Mac instructions there.

3. I followed your installation link and started the web server as:

vtune-backend --web-port=8080 --allow-remote-access --reset-passphrase

In the web UI, I see the link to documentation with a mouse hover

and that link gets redirected to generic landing page: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/resources-documentation/developer.html#gs.bxo1vh

I am sure I will find my way to setup things up correctly but it would be great if the document links are consistent per version.

You can download the agent manually, please refer to the web server UI part in the user guide below:

In addition, the VTune Profiler Server uses SSH for automated agent deployment. Running an SSH server on the target machine is required for automated deployment.
