topic Not able to connect in Analyzers

I have installed VTune analyzer, thread profiler and thread checker tools after downloading them with the given .lic file. Thread profiler and thread checkr are working fine but VTune analyzer gives following error " Not able to connect to Intel license server for VTune Analyzer."

What could be the reason? Please suggest some remedy.

Regards

Hi,

Are you sure you really have a valid license that allows working with VTune (not with TC/TP only) ?

Usually Thread Checker and Profiler install a copy of VTune to use it as a GUI shell, but this VTune will work as a shell only and will not work as VTune itself without a valid VTune license.

Please open your license file in notepad and check if it has the word PerfAnl inside. If no your license doesnt allow to use VTune.
