I am using an ASUS zenbook S 14 with Arc 140V iGPU, some games with HDR option cannot detect that my environment has HDR support. The laptop uses an OLED screen with HDR 600 trueblack support. HDR videos and images can be correctly displayed, but some games cannot turn on their HDR option no matter use power adaptor or battery.

I tried Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Resident Evil Village, Hitman 3, No man's sky, Ori and the will of wisps and Deep rock galactic. RE2, RE village, Hitman 3 and No man's sky cannot detect HDR support, their HDR option in settings are hidden or locked with tips like "only available on platform that supports HDR". Ori and the will of wisps, Deep rock galactic and RE4 can enable HDR option in game and display properly, no gray, no over exposure.

I tried toggle on and off HDR option in Windows settings, but no effect to RE2, RE village, No man's sky and Hitman 3. I also tried connect to an external monitor with HDR1000 support which I have been using for half a year with a desktop platform and have not met any issues associated with HDR yet, but the games above still cannot turn on HDR option when running on laptop and displayed on this monitor.

System Version: Windows 11 24H2 26100.1742

Driver: 32.0.101.5736

Hi TFOUTADM,

Thak you for posting in the Community!

Apologies for the delay on my response. I would like to clarify where did you update your graphics driver. Is it from Intel or Asus?

Just to add that we supply generic versions of graphics drivers for general purposes. Computer manufacturers might have changed the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to the graphics driver software or software packaging. To avoid potential installation incompatibilities, we recommend that you check first with your computer manufacturer and use the driver software provided by them.

Here's the link for your OEM drivers:

ASUS Zenbook S 14 (UX5406)｜Laptops For Home｜ASUS Global

I suggest doing clean install and DDU for the OEM driver as well:

Clean Installation of Intel® Graphics Drivers in Windows*

Let me know if the issue still persists.

Best regards,

Dean R.

Intel Customer Support Technician
