Hi, Kruption76.

Thank you for posting in our Community and for providing the detailed information. I understand that the recent updates and driver installations may have inadvertently affected your system's ability to access the BIOS, which is certainly unusual. To help further diagnose the issue and narrow down the cause, I would like to know if the problem occurred immediately after installing the driver updates, or if was it after a specific update. This could help identify if a particular update caused the issue.

Aside from removing the hard drives and the graphics, what are the other troubleshooting steps you've done so far? Have you tried rolling back the graphics drivers to a previous version? Rolling back drivers may help confirm if the new driver is causing the issue. Have you tested with just the CPU, RAM, and primary display connected (with all other devices disconnected)? This could help rule out external devices causing conflicts during the boot process.

Have a nice day!

Best regards,

Von M.

Intel Customer Support Technician

ARC GPU and UHD Graphics

I have applied new updates and latest drivers for both Arc (TM) A750 Graphics and onboard UHD 630 Graphics and all seems to run very well. The side effect is that it has become impossible to access the bios.

This is an unusual occurrence which has left me a bit stranded. I'm not sure why this would somehow effect access? Microsoft recovery is not accessible either. I have been able to access bios only if hardrives and graphics are removed. This not ideal as motherboard resets bios and i cannot identify the exact cause. My only guess would be if the UEFI firmware may have been adjusted during the install for reasons I'm not sure.

Motherboard: Gigabyte H510m s2h 1.0

CPU: Intel 10400

Log Name: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-PnP/Configuration
Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-PnP
Date: 18/01/2025 7:58:11 pm
Event ID: 400
Task Category: None
Level: Information
Keywords:
User: SYSTEM
Computer: Jaikaya
Description:
Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_56A1&SUBSYS_10218086&REV_08\6&11c2dce&0&00080008 was configured.

Driver Name: oem3.inf
Driver Package ID: iigd_dch_d.inf_amd64_ed0a5b68fd56b74f
Class GUID: {4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
Driver Date: 01/10/2025
Driver Version: 32.0.101.6458
Driver Provider: Intel Corporation
Driver Section: DG2_Client_FWU_wNext
Driver Rank: 0xCF0001
Matching Device ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_56A1&SUBSYS_10218086
Outranked Drivers: oem3.inf:PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_56A1:00CF2001 display.inf:PCI\CC_0300:00FB2008
Device Updated: true
Parent Device: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4FA4&SUBSYS_4FA48086&REV_00\5&1034cdc5&0&080008
Event Xml:
<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
<System>
<Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-PnP" Guid="{9c205a39-1250-487d-abd7-e831c6290539}" />
<EventID>400</EventID>
<Version>1</Version>
<Level>4</Level>
<Task>0</Task>
<Opcode>0</Opcode>
<Keywords>0x4000000000000000</Keywords>
<TimeCreated SystemTime="2025-01-18T06:58:11.4475739Z" />
<EventRecordID>855</EventRecordID>
<Correlation />
<Execution ProcessID="4" ThreadID="6564" />
<Channel>Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-PnP/Configuration</Channel>
<Computer>Jaikaya</Computer>
<Security UserID="S-1-5-18" />
</System>
<EventData>
<Data Name="DeviceInstanceId">PCI\VEN_8086&amp;DEV_56A1&amp;SUBSYS_10218086&amp;REV_08\6&amp;11c2dce&amp;0&amp;00080008</Data>
<Data Name="DriverName">oem3.inf</Data>
<Data Name="ClassGuid">{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}</Data>
<Data Name="DriverDate">01/10/2025</Data>
<Data Name="DriverVersion">32.0.101.6458</Data>
<Data Name="DriverProvider">Intel Corporation</Data>
<Data Name="DriverInbox">false</Data>
<Data Name="DriverSection">DG2_Client_FWU_wNext</Data>
<Data Name="DriverRank">0xcf0001</Data>
<Data Name="MatchingDeviceId">PCI\VEN_8086&amp;DEV_56A1&amp;SUBSYS_10218086</Data>
<Data Name="OutrankedDrivers">oem3.inf:PCI\VEN_8086&amp;DEV_56A1:00CF2001 display.inf:PCI\CC_0300:00FB2008</Data>
<Data Name="DeviceUpdated">true</Data>
<Data Name="Status">0x0</Data>
<Data Name="ParentDeviceInstanceId">PCI\VEN_8086&amp;DEV_4FA4&amp;SUBSYS_4FA48086&amp;REV_00\5&amp;1034cdc5&amp;0&amp;080008</Data>
<Data Name="DriverPackageId">iigd_dch_d.inf_amd64_ed0a5b68fd56b74f</Data>
</EventData>
</Event>
