Asrock A770 Phantom D 8GB fans stay at max speed

Using latest drivers at time of post (32.0.101.6449) clean install has been done with DDU

Fans ramp up to max RPM upon load such as running a game and stay at max speed even during idle until system reboot. Fan behaviour is otherwise normal on bootup. Adjusting fan curve has no effect and Intel software does not show RPM. Temps are around 40c at idle and 65c under load.

System is running:

Ryzen 5 7600X

MSI B650I Edge Wifi

32GB DDR5

Windows 11 24H2 26100.2605

Corsair SF750

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm interested in learning more about your issue. Could you please send a video recording of your system where the fans are running at high RPM? Additionally, have you tried reseating your GPU?

I have attached a video of the issue. I have also already attempted reseating the GPU which did not fix the issue.

That noise is quite unusual. I'm wondering, did this issue start occurring after you updated the BIOS of your motherboard? Additionally, are you currently on version 7D73v1G of your motherboard?

I was running 7D73v1F, haven't tried with any BIOS version older than that. I have since updated to 7D73v1G in case it might fix the issue which it did not.

Thank you for your patience. Could you please confirm if your Windows OS is currently up to date? If it is, and since you have already updated your graphics driver and BIOS, I would highly encourage you to contact your GPU manufacturer for a physical inspection and possible warranty replacement of your unit.
