Le Mans Ultimate does not load

Hi There,

I've just picked up early access to Le Mans Ultimate via Steam. Game won't progress past the initial loading screen, which appears to be an issue with ARC graphics cards. A number of users are having similar issues. Have tried:

Loading from Steam
Loading from .exe directly
Loading from .exe directly as an administrator
Uninstall and reinstall
Disable Windows Defender
Installing to different SSD (don't have a traditional HDD to try)
Validating install via Steam
Ensuring all drivers are up to date
Closing all non-essential programs

When attempting to load from steam:
Click Play
Play button turns blue and shows "Cancel"
Studio 397 logo flashes
Small window with Le Mans Ultimate V0.4000 in header bar opens
Small window with Le Mans Ultimate V0.4000 closes 1-2 seconds later
Blue "Cancel" button in Steam turns green, showing "Play" again

Same thing happens when loading directly from the .exe, except it does not trigger the Steam button.

I don't run an antivirus other than Windows Defender
No performance monitors such as Afterburner or Riva Tuner installed

No performance enhancements or overclocking of graphics card.

Computer specs:
Ryzen 5 7600
ASRock B650M PG Lightning WiFi motherboard
16Gb Ram
Intel Arc A750 graphics card
SSD1: WD PC SN750 256Gb
SSD2: XPG Gammix S70 1Tb
Windows 11

Hi Michael,

I purchased the unit about 4 months ago. It is working fine, and no issues with any other game titles.

I purchased the game 2 days ago, it does not load at all.

Troubleshooting details in the original post. I do not have another GPU to test.

I have also discussed the issue in the Le Mans Ultimate (LMU) Discord and Support Forum, and other users with ARC GPUs have had issues with LMU since late last year. Some indicated that there was a change in ARC firmware in December that may cause an issue with the LMU game. Do note that the game is in Early Access, so does not have a large volume of users at this point in time.

I'm on a Intel Arc B580 and Le Mans Ultimate is working without any crashes on my system as far as I downgraded my driver. I tried multiple driver versions and the last one that worked with LMU was version gfx_win_101.6557_101.6262. I recommend to uninstall your current driver version with DDU if you want to downgrade. Not really a question but I want to confirm that LMU is running good on your B580. This is my deciding factor before I pull the trigger.

What exactly you wan't to know? FPS? Stability? As I tried that driver I had no problems with the game and it runs stable on multi- and singleplayer. But I've to mention that my FPS quite varied. I had sometimes like 70 to 90 or around 100 avg. FPS in 1440p with my specific settings. Unfortunately I can't grant you that the older driver will make Le Mans Ultimate work fine on your system. But it's worth to try it until there is a real solution rather from Intel or the LMU devs.

Update: I still have to use the same driver version: fx_win_101.6557_101.6262 but my performance in LMU is great after I upgraded my cpu, to the I5-14600kf from my old I7-10700. Now I have around 130-150 fps online on the same settings and nearly no stuttering. Note: I didn’t tested full grid on singleplayer yet but I’ll try that soon. In addition, my settings are pretty mixed around but they doesn’t look too bad and my textures are on the high preset.
