Intel OneAPI based SYCL on Intel Arch A750

Hi All,

I am trying to run my SYCL code on Intel Arc A750 GPU. For some big size, I am getting the runtime error. I dont know why but max I can allocate 256MB on device's Memory. Is there any way to allocate more than that? Intel GPU has 8gb ram.

Hi Hugo

We solved this issue by activating resizable bar on BIOS settings. https://game.intel.com/story/intel-arc-graphics-resizable-bar/

Someone helped us on SYCL slack channel. His answer was "The CPU can't address more than 256MB in one chunk when ReBAR is off, and Intel GPUs were designed to have ReBAR always on." So by changing BIOS setting of resizable bar to on It was fixed.
