I don't know but this feels like a bug to me, hopefully driver update can fix this as it's annoying AF!

The fan would only stop for 2-3 seconds after reaching the temp for "0" RPM. It constantly goes on and off at idle and I feel like this is not good for the fan/bearing.

Is someone experiencing the same? if so, any help or tips will be greatly appreciated.

What temperatures are you seeing when the fan ramps up at idle? Most of time @48-50 degrees. For example you set the curve @70 degrees to stop spinning. Once it reaches 48-50 degrees the fan would start to act weird, it would spin and stop constantly until your on heavy load again and the fan would spin normally.

Are you using the default fan curve settings, or have you made any custom adjustments? I've tried using both, but it still the same

Does the issue persist in both balanced and performance power profiles in Windows? Tried both still the same

Thank you for the detailed information and for sharing the video. The behavior you're seeing is likely caused by an overly narrow temperature buffer between idle temps (~48–50°C) and the 0 RPM threshold set at 70°C. When the fan curve is configured to remain off until 70°C, but the actual temperature hovers just below that point, the fan may engage briefly in response to transient spikes, then stop again, creating the constant on/off cycling you're experiencing. This is not ideal and can lead to mechanical stress over time.

Since you’ve already tested both default and custom fan curves, as well as different Windows power profiles, the next steps would be a thorough investigation. I’ll need to conduct additional research on this issue and will post an update in this thread once I have more information about this matter.

Okay so apparently a DDU safe mode almost did the trick. My auto curve now stops the fan @idle, now it works normal. But.... on Custom fan curve the issue is still the same......

Hello all, a root cause for this issue has been found and we are working in a solution. We appreciate your patience with this matter. In the meantime, you can leave the card with the automatic setting, as this erratic behavior is only seen with the custom fan curve.

Any update on this? Seeing this issue on my new Acer Arc b580 Nitro OC. Custom fan curve leads to oscillation at low frequencies when I set it to 0 fan speed.

Just sold the card and went back to Nvdia, seems like a hardware issue or "Lemon" Unit? Because I also know someone with the exact same model but works perfectly normal. So yeah, I just sold it because I can't stand seeing my GPU spin all the time LOL.

Hi i just install the driver And the problem has been partially solved, meaning it no longer turns on or off every 2 to 3 seconds, but again, this is only when the manual setting is made, and in automatic mode, the fan does not stop at all. When it is set manually, for example, at a temperature of 56 degrees, the fans turn on and turn off at 55 degrees, and in this case, the fan remains off for a maximum of 10 to 15 seconds. My suggestion is to do it in such a way that the fans, when turned on, work until the temperature reaches 30 to 40 degrees and then turn off again, so that the on-off cycle is resolved.
