Solution:

I needed to disable ASPM (a PCI-E power-saving feature) in BIOS settings.

I had it enabled at L1 -- this is a common recommendation to keep Intel Arc idle power draw low.

Once I disabled it, I am getting the expected frametimes, with no suspicious spikes.

Hello,

I am getting frametime spikes when playing COD Warzone on my A770 8GB.

At an average 80 fps the frametime fluctuates between ~13ms and ~26ms.

The only pattern I see with GPU is it goes from 99% to 98% usage when the frametime spike is recorded.

Utilization of my 6 P-cores is at 50-60% average with no suspicious spikes.

I am attaching an SSU and charts of the recorded 10-minute session. The spikes at the beginning of chart are during loading screens/match start.

On the frametime chart you can also see a couple of large spikes in the first quarter, during gameplay. These spikes were felt as half-second stutters in-game.

Warzone settings are:

- 1440p + XeSS Balanced

- almost everything set to lowest

- 69% VRAM target (as per multiple online recommendations to put it below 70)

Intel Graphics settings:

- SmoothSync

- Low Latency Mode - On + Boost

- Image Sharpening - 85% (need it because XeSS blurs image)

- Adaptive Tesselation - 90%

I've done:

- clean driver reinstall with DDU - no change;

- cleared game shader cache after each graphic setting change;

- Warzone specific optimizations
