hi, I recently bought an intel Arc B580 board and I'm having a problem with my SAMSUNG G60SD (LS27DG602SUXEN) OLED screen https://www.samsung.com/be_fr/monitors/gaming/odyssey-oled-g6-g60sd-27-inch-360hz-oled-qhd-ls27dg602suxen/

when you select its frequency 240 or 360hz, the screen goes down to 1080p, connected in hdmi with the cable supplied with the screen, which I believe is an hdmi 2.1. it worked on my old gpu. I don't know if it works with a DP cable, I don't have one here, maybe in the afternoon I could give a result wired in DP.

hi again, on DP, frequency are well detected as 360hz and 239,96hz. issues is only on HDMI.

What is your current graphics driver version?
Has this issue happened before, or is this the first time you’re encountering it?

Additionally, I’d like to review your monitor’s EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) for further analysis. To do so, please follow these steps:

Download and install Intel Graphics Command Center (Beta) from the Microsoft Store.
Navigate to the Support section.
Select System Diagnostic, then click Generate Report.
This will create a text file containing details about your monitor and GPU.

Yes, 360hz and 239,93hz revert to 1080p

Yes, tried another one with a amazonbasics hdmi 2.1, still not working.

Yes hdmi 1&2, same result

drivers version is actually 32.0.101.6876, the lastest one didn't solve anything. when i wrote the message, i was 2 or 3 drivers behind, i don't remember.

no I recently bought the card, I saw it immediately when I plugged in the screen.

Clean install Windows when I got my card, so drivers were freshly installed !

for the edid, i took with hdmi and displayport for comparison

Yes, I can confirm that it only happens when connected to HDMI, either in port 1 or 2 of the display. Yes, I'm talking about the cable supplied by the manufacturer, I tried another one from amazon in hdmi 2.1 but it still didn't work.

when I received the card, I totally deleted windows and reinstalled it cleanly from my usb key, everything was clean and the drivers were installed cleanly too.

I don't remember which version I was on when I wrote the first message, but I'm currently on the latest 32.0.101.6876

for the EDID, i took hdmi and display for comparison purpose.

@ Intel Support: I've noticed for some time now that the Report for Intel Graphics Drivers seems to be limited to two 128-byte blocks for the Extended Display Identification Data (EDID).

The Samsung Odyssey G60SD monitor used here sends a DisplayID in the third block of the EDID. Received EDID via the DisplayPort Auxiliary channel (DP AUX): 3 x 128 bytes = 384 bytes

The driver doesn't seem to process the DisplayID correctly when connected via HDMI. The following information is included there:

2560 x 1440 @ 360 Hz RGB 10 bpc (Samsung Custom Timing) = 1667.17 MHz pixel clock

The EDID received via HDMI over the Display Data Channel (DDC) advertises a bandwidth of 40 Gbps FRL5 for the interface in the CTA-861 block. This is more than sufficient to transmit the desired signal with Display Stream Compression (DSC) over HDMI, just as it appears to work with DisplayPort.

It would be good if the Intel graphics team could take another look at the driver in this regard. DisplayID also appears to be read over HDMI, as Windows allows 1440p @ 120 Hz and displays the 360 Hz refresh rate with an asterisk symbol. This means the refresh rate is available at a reduced resolution. The DisplayID Extension Block also describes 1080p @ 360 Hz with a pixel clock of 937.75 MHz. Therefore, I suspect an Intel graphics driver defined limitation is preventing 1440p @ 240/360 Hz from being available over HDMI.

Hello,
It's not that I'm in a hurry i'm using DisplayPort and everything's working fine but I just wanted to check.
In the meantime, the monitor has received quite a few firmware updates, but none of them have really changed anything as far as I know.
