Hello, well i was trying to use the game-in filters from IGCC and when i tried to finally apply the filters nothing happened. Not a single thing i restarted game, i launched game from the IGCC but non worked. But an error code caught my eye whenever i tried to choose "Intel optimized" which had that lock image on the right bottom side it gave me the error code "the game needs to be played at least once before settings can be applied" which is quite interesting. I have just found my way around and i wonder if there's an global settings section for the filters such as sharpening. They don't seem to work at all (non of them). So i believe i need help.

Hey bro,,

from what you’re describing, the in-game filters in Intel Graphics Command Center (IGCC) aren’t applying at all, even after restarting the game and launching it directly from IGCC. Then when selecting “Intel Optimized”, you’re getting that message saying “the game needs to be played at least once before settings can be applied.” Yeah… that can definitely be confusing. That specific message usually means IGCC hasn’t properly detected or profiled the game yet. Even if you’ve launched it before, sometimes the profile doesn’t initialize correctly, especially if: The game was first launched before IGCC was installed >> The game executable path changed>> Or the profile cache didn’t generate properly

currently, IGCC applies filters per game profile. There isn’t a true “global sharpening for everything” toggle like some third-party tools offer. So if the per-game profile isn’t activating properly, none of the filters will take effect.

-RedCapsi

Welp no, i tried to fix it but it appears there's still no effects. It's strange this feels just like the IGS scenario now. Non of the Anisop. Filtering,Sharpness and i believe Adaptive Tesellation is working. Also there's this one setting from Arc Control which later got removed in the IGS. This is quite interesting and it definitely feels like Intel is just re-adding features without even trying to fix them.

“the game needs to be played at least once before settings can be applied” that usually means the software hasn’t properly detected or registered the game profile yet. Even if you’ve launched it, sometimes the profile handshake between the driver and the game just doesn’t stick the first time.

Now regarding the filters not working at all (Sharpening, Anisotropic Filtering, Adaptive Tessellation, etc.), that’s definitely not expected behavior. If none of them are applying, that suggests one of three things:

/game profile isn’t being properly detected

/driver-level overrides aren’t hooking into the game engine

/There’s a service or backend component not functioning correctly

Make sure required services are running

Press Win + R

Type
services.msc

Look for:

Intel(R) Graphics Command Center Service

Intel(R) Graphics Driver Service

Make sure both are:

Running

Startup type set to Automatic

If not, start them and reboot.

Force Game Detection Properly

That “game must be played once” error means profile registration failed.

Do this:

Launch the game normally (not from IGCC).

Stay in-game for at least 2–3 minutes.

Close the game normally (don’t Alt+F4 immediately).

Reopen IGCC and check if the profile appears.

If not:

Manually add the game .exe file inside IGCC

Check If It’s a DX12 Limitation

Some Intel driver-level overrides do NOT hook properly into:

DX12

Vulkan

Some modern engines

Test the game in:

DirectX 11 mode (if available)

DX11 is more compatible with driver overrides

Thank you for your help, but i noticed some things. Game is already Dx 11 but the quite interesting thing is there is no Intel graphics driver service neither Intel graphics command center service. Should i be concerned? I have already tried the other stuff and again thanks for your help.
