Hi sbstian,
Thank you for posting in our Community. I understand that you’re experiencing an unusual issue with your Intel Arc B580, where the problem occurs specifically after closing the Windows HDR settings window on your Samsung QN90F TV, and that it happens on both the beta and WHQL drivers. I definitely want to get to the bottom of this. To help me troubleshoot further, could you please provide some additional details:

Does the issue occur every time you close the HDR settings window, or is it intermittent?

What exactly happens after closing the window, for example, does the screen flicker, go black, or display incorrect colors?

Are you using any HDMI ports that support variable refresh rate (VRR), or other special TV settings while HDR is enabled?

Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the TV, or testing with another display, to see if the behavior persists?

Could you share the current driver version you are using for your Arc B580, along with your Windows build version?

Additionally, I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the graphics models, precise driver versions, and any system errors. Utilizing the Intel SSU tool will enable me to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue.

Have a nice day!

Best regards,

It happens when I close the Windows HDR settings window and also when Dolby Atmos audio is detected. After that, it doesn’t happen again.

What does sometimes happen is that when I start Windows, HDR shows as not supported, and I have to disable and re-enable the HDR option on the TV for Windows to detect it again.

The card is connected to the HDMI 2.1 gaming port (port 4) on the TV, with VRR enabled. I’m using beta version 32.0.101.8531. I also tried the WHQL version and it behaves exactly the same.

Thanks!
I’m using a 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 lead, the same one I was using with my previous GPU, I reckon it might be something to do with the gpu driver and the TV's EDID

However, we were not able to reproduce the issue in our environment. Based on this result, it appears that the behavior may be related to the operating system configuration, particularly with how HDR is integrated or configured in Microsoft Windows. I recommend contacting Microsoft Support, as they are best positioned to assist with operating system–related settings and HDR configuration within Windows.
