Reverting back to the older 8626 driver everything is fixed. No intel graphics software crashes and elden rings load and runs perfectly. So it is evident that latest drivers do have certain bugs, that you should consider and fix on next driver release!!!

I have a computer with a i5 13400 CPU , 16 mb and an arc a750 gpu. After installing the latest gpu drivers 8735 (and all previous after 8626) the game does not start at all. No error on screen l. However from the event viewer of windows failing module seems to be igd12um64xeh.dll

Sorry the last folder and event viewer entry I posted was an older one, probably of the previous driver that's way the folder does not exist. The laster error is this one (after installing the lates driver v. 8735), which refers to another folder (C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\iigd_dch_d.inf_amd64_5ace92d91beb3d7e), which indeed contains the referenced file, but as you can see it fails to start :

Log Name: Application
Source: Application Error
Date: 5/1/2026 12:45:30 PM
Event ID: 1000
Task Category: Application Crashing Events
Level: Error
Keywords:
User: SILMARIL2\peter
Computer: Silmaril2
Description:
Faulting application name: eldenring.exe, version: 2.6.1.0, time stamp: 0x6888a40b
Faulting module name: igd12um64xeh.dll, version: 32.0.101.8735, time stamp: 0x69e6b8bf
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00000000000c8896
Faulting process id: 0x4208
Faulting application start time: 0x1DCD94F24758337
Faulting application path: D:\steam\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game\eldenring.exe
Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\iigd_dch_d.inf_amd64_5ace92d91beb3d7e\igd12um64xeh.dll
Report Id: 2417a931-d538-451c-a1fa-6e944285a6c2
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:
Event Xml:
<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
<System>
<Provider Name="Application Error" Guid="{a0e9b465-b939-57d7-b27d-95d8e925ff57}" />
<EventID>1000</EventID>
<Version>0</Version>
<Level>2</Level>
<Task>100</Task>
<Opcode>0</Opcode>
<Keywords>0x8000000000000000</Keywords>
<TimeCreated SystemTime="2026-05-01T09:45:30.4098207Z" />
<EventRecordID>324683</EventRecordID>
<Correlation />
<Execution ProcessID="15272" ThreadID="12720" />
<Channel>Application</Channel>
<Computer>Silmaril2</Computer>
<Security UserID="S-1-5-21-2514349892-2004675389-638856885-1003" />
</System>
<EventData>
<Data Name="AppName">eldenring.exe</Data>
<Data Name="AppVersion">2.6.1.0</Data>
<Data Name="AppTimeStamp">6888a40b</Data>
<Data Name="ModuleName">igd12um64xeh.dll</Data>
<Data Name="ModuleVersion">32.0.101.8735</Data>
<Data Name="ModuleTimeStamp">69e6b8bf</Data>
<Data Name="ExceptionCode">c0000005</Data>
<Data Name="FaultingOffset">00000000000c8896</Data>
<Data Name="ProcessId">0x4208</Data>
<Data Name="ProcessCreationTime">0x1dcd94f24758337</Data>
<Data Name="AppPath">D:\steam\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game\eldenring.exe</Data>
<Data Name="ModulePath">C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\iigd_dch_d.inf_amd64_5ace92d91beb3d7e\igd12um64xeh.dll</Data>
<Data Name="IntegratorReportId">2417a931-d538-451c-a1fa-6e944285a6c2</Data>
<Data Name="PackageFullName">
</Data>
<Data Name="PackageRelativeAppId">
</Data>
</EventData>
</Event>

Reverting back to the older 8626 driver everything is fixed. No intel graphics software crashes and elden rings load and runs perfectly. So it is evident that latest drivers do have certain bugs, that you should consider and fix on next driver release!!!

Hello Iprigg,

I hope this message finds you well.

Thank you for reaching out on the Intel Community Forum and for taking the time to share the details of your experience.

We completely understand how frustrating it must be to encounter crashes and launch issues with Elden Ring on your Intel Arc A750, especially when the game was working as expected on an earlier driver version. We sincerely regret the inconvenience this has caused you.

After reviewing your report, we can confirm that the issue you described was associated with driver version 32.0.101.8735. We are pleased to let you know that Intel has since released an updated driver — version 32.0.101.8737 — which is now the latest available. We kindly recommend updating to this version and checking whether the issue persists.

You can download the latest driver directly from the Intel Download Center.

We appreciate your patience and are committed to getting this sorted out for you.

Thank you for contacting Intel.

Tharun

Intel Customer Support Technician.

Nope, I just installed the latest driver 8737 and Elden ring still cannot run!!!

The error (see below) is the same, just the referenced library path changes, as you can see.

So I had to revert back to the 8626 in order to play it

Log Name: Application
Source: Application Error
Date: 5/3/2026 7:59:14 PM
Event ID: 1000
Task Category: Application Crashing Events
Level: Error
Keywords:
User: SILMARIL2\peter
Computer: Silmaril2
Description:
Faulting application name: eldenring.exe, version: 2.6.1.0, time stamp: 0x6888a40b
Faulting module name: igd12um64xeh.dll, version: 32.0.101.8737, time stamp: 0x69f157a0
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00000000000be376
Faulting process id: 0x16AC
Faulting application start time: 0x1DCDB1E104C716A
Faulting application path: D:\steam\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game\eldenring.exe
Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\iigd_dch_d.inf_amd64_175eecdb00c97fde\igd12um64xeh.dll
Report Id: f30fd1fd-084e-4173-95ee-d2bd24b9391c
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:
Event Xml:
<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">
<System>
<Provider Name="Application Error" Guid="{a0e9b465-b939-57d7-b27d-95d8e925ff57}" />
<EventID>1000</EventID>
<Version>0</Version>
<Level>2</Level>
<Task>100</Task>
<Opcode>0</Opcode>
<Keywords>0x8000000000000000</Keywords>
<TimeCreated SystemTime="2026-05-03T16:59:14.3727518Z" />
<EventRecordID>326563</EventRecordID>
<Correlation />
<Execution ProcessID="3540" ThreadID="8996" />
<Channel>Application</Channel>
<Computer>Silmaril2</Computer>
<Security UserID="S-1-5-21-2514349892-2004675389-638856885-1003" />
</System>
<EventData>
<Data Name="AppName">eldenring.exe</Data>
<Data Name="AppVersion">2.6.1.0</Data>
<Data Name="AppTimeStamp">6888a40b</Data>
<Data Name="ModuleName">igd12um64xeh.dll</Data>
<Data Name="ModuleVersion">32.0.101.8737</Data>
<Data Name="ModuleTimeStamp">69f157a0</Data>
<Data Name="ExceptionCode">c0000005</Data>
<Data Name="FaultingOffset">00000000000be376</Data>
<Data Name="ProcessId">0x16ac</Data>
<Data Name="ProcessCreationTime">0x1dcdb1e104c716a</Data>
<Data Name="AppPath">D:\steam\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game\eldenring.exe</Data>
<Data Name="ModulePath">C:\WINDOWS\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\iigd_dch_d.inf_amd64_175eecdb00c97fde\igd12um64xeh.dll</Data>
<Data Name="IntegratorReportId">f30fd1fd-084e-4173-95ee-d2bd24b9391c</Data>
<Data Name="PackageFullName">
</Data>
<Data Name="PackageRelativeAppId">
</Data>
</EventData>
</Event>

Hello Iprigg,

I hope you are doing well.

Thank you for your patience and your detailed response. To further investigate the crash on driver 8737.

If you did not use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) during that process, please perform a clean installation now, as remnants of old files are likely causing this specific crash.

please perform the following steps to ensure a clean testing environment:

DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller): Please use this tool in Safe Mode to completely remove the current driver before reinstalling 8737.

          Download:  https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000091878/graphics.html

Clear Shader Cache: Use the Windows Disk Cleanup utility on your C: drive and check only the DirectX Shader Cache to clear it.

Verify Game Files: Open Steam, right-click Elden Ring > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. This fixes any corrupted game data.

SSU Log: Run the Intel System Support Utility and perform a full scan.

          Download: Intel® System Support Utility for Windows*

Please share the resulting SSU log file with us so that we can review the configuration and investigate further.

Thank you for your time and cooperation. I look forward to your update.

Best regards,

Nikhil

Intel Customer Support Technician

Dear Nikhil,

Although I am a programmer and I know very well that such driver updates may very well break things, I am also pretty confident that a gaming GPU should not require a computer expert in order to run properly. Now do you think that all these things you suggest is something that an ordinary gamer, who mostly are kids, could do? I do not think so.
Updating a driver should always work without the need to do all such things you suggest. The software installer itself should take care of all these issues automatically, without further user intervention.
The software installer features already a clean install option, which I always check, so why use the ddu? Shouldn't that been handled from the installer itself. Moreover I clean install the latest driver and the game did not play. I then clean install back to an older one 8626 and everything plays perfectly.
So what more indication that it is a driver version issue???
All these things you prompt me to do require a lot of time to invest and I do not have it. My children who play have spare time but not the capacity to do all these things.
So pardon me but I cannot do all these things, at least now. If a find spare time in a week or a month I may check what you suggest, but not know
Sorry but I think that your software engineer should start investigating on this issue because I have found posts from other owners of Intel cards in forums on the internet which have similar issues.

Hello Iprigg,

I hope you are doing well.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. I understand your concerns and appreciate you explaining your perspective clearly.

The troubleshooting steps were shared (DDU, clearing shader cache, verifying game files, and requesting an SSU log) to help rule out factors such as residual driver components, cached shaders, or corrupted game data that can influence driver behaviour. The SSU log helps capture key system configuration details, allowing us to better understand your system environment.

Thank you again for sharing your experience and for taking the time to communicate your concerns.

Thank you for your time and cooperation.

Best regards,

Nikhil

Intel Customer Support Technician
