I'd like to add to this thread to assist Intel. It isn't just Renegad OPS. I am playing Where Winds Meet and get the same issue when launching in DX12, on a Ryzen 5700 with 16gb main memory when using Steam. Intel Engineers can replicate this issue.

First and foremost, none of this is a knock at Intel, TBH, I really enjoy my B580, and for one of the first few GPU's Intel has produced, to me, it is an honest and excellent effort in the GPU market and look to enjoy your future products in this market. Well done TBH for your second shot... these are just comments on what I have found to assist in debug, etc.

I have noticed, it isn't just Where Winds Meet, or other games... video memory gradually gets more and more when playing some games like Outer Worlds. In Outer Worlds, the memory starts creeping up, and although the statistics "say" they are the same, over time there is gradually more and more stuttering and GPU memory usage. When using Intel GPU Monitoring, the stuttering in Outer Worlds, at least to me, is noticeable and the frame rate is reduced. This indicates to me there are performance gains to be had on the hardware / software / drivers.

In my "mind", this means memory leak in the drivers somewhere. Some games when playing too long, or leaving my system on for a few days will result in a crash upon launch... and will keep crashing until I reboot. This means resources which are not being used are "piling up" in the GPU? There are some games loading new characters in scenes like Baulders gate, where several characters are called in the same video scene where the game just crashes unless I intentionally "wait" for the resources to load by not clicking next on the scene. This is repeatable, even after reboot.

I am not a GPU software engineer, but it seems there is optimization to be had in the "memory" section of the Intel drivers, and the calls when using monitoring software such as Intel GPU monitoring.

Maybe this will assist Intel Engineering / Support? BTW, enjoy the engineers efforts. And I mean ENGINEERS and SUPPORT, not the company who hires you for the GPU stuff. Take care.

Hello thanks for your reply. Hadn't had a chance to check this thread for updates.

1. No the issue had not occurred before. I worked with my 5700XT in this machine. I upgraded to the Intel Arc B580 and that is when this started happening.

2. Ran the SSU and attached log.

3. No updates to Steam or any other application related.

4. Troubleshooting :

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game completely .

Closed all other programs and apps before attempting to run the game.

Ran the game on other machines with lesser specs and no error occurred.

Ran the game in safe mode via Steam launcher.

I looked up the game engine this is built on and its Avalanche Engine 2.0 . I installed another game that runs that same engine (Just Cause 2) and it has the same out of memory error and will not launch the game.

Assuming its a driver issue ? I have plenty of VRAM and System RAM to run both of these titles.

I noticed in your screenshot of the SSU that there's an entry for "Parsec Virtual Display Adapter." This feature allows you to create a virtual display on your host machine, enabling remote access, which can be particularly useful for streaming or playing games from another PC.

Could you clarify whether you're launching the game through the remote session or directly on the PC where the B580 is installed? Additionally, are you using a VPN for this setup?

Thanks for the reply .

I am not sure what the display has to do with the issue but I have a PG34WQ15R2B - ASRock PHANTOM GAMING 34" 2K monitor. I am not sure of the display port cable type. It is the one that I received with the monitor.

I added the SSU report again as requested. I am going to attempt to create a VM and a fresh windows install on it to test.

Take care.
