Arc A770 - Temperature Sensor?

Hi,

I'm trying to set up fan control for my system, but no app seems to be able to recognize the "GPU Diode Sensor" or whatever you want to call it for the Arc series. I'm not talking about controlling the fans on the Arc A770, I am talking about an app like ASUS Fan Xpert or Rem0o Fan Control listing the A770 as a sensor source. I want my system to be able to bring in more air when the A770 is under load. Is there any way to do this? The only thing that can seem to see the A770's temperatures is Arc Control and HWInfo (i'm not that sure HWInfo can do it, at that). I feel like this is a case of App Developers overlooked the existence of Arc Series when updating their apps.

Thanks for waiting for a response.

We want to let you know that SDK is only distributed to ODMs partners. However, we are currently working on a fan control option in Arc Control that will be available soon.

Also, we are currently working on a solution for an issue with the Arc Control, in which changing performance parameters may hinder the card fans to reach full rpm; thus, if you are currently experiencing temperature issues, then revert all overclocking until we release an update to address this one.

Hi, I'm using fan control software (which can be found on https://github.com/Rem0o/FanControl.Releases). When I had my RTX 3060 in my case, instead of my ARC A770 now, I was able to control my case fans using the temperature sensor of the RTX card. With the Arc GPU this is no longer possible. I have configured the fan curve in the arc control pannel, but it would be nice if I was able to have my case fans (I have 3 in the bottom of my case for GPU cooling) using the ARC temperature. Is this something you could foresee in a future driver update? Regards Bart

FYI I did find a workaround - I bought a T. Probe Sensor from Amazon for $6 USD. I was able to set my case fans to react to that sensor. It's basically the ambient temperature of the inside of the case, so I set mine to 25C for 100%, 20C for 70%, and 15C for 0%. I put the sensor right next to the graphics card. It does work very reliably!

No excuse for this to still not work, Intel Devs! Some motherboards don't have that sensor. Please share this SDK with 3rd party devs.

for now I'm using the CPU and VRM as temp sources, but it would be nice if I could have my bottom fans react to the GPU temperature instead. We'll see if this becomes available in future updates or not
