My question is:

What is the difference between the SR3UT and SR1X6 versions ?

Answer: stepping D1 instead of D0 and maybe microcode.

Can I use SR3UT in place of SR1X6?

Answer : of course yes but replacement head to head is possible?

ADVANTECH from Japan recommend BIOS modification by this replacement.

What do you think about it?

Where can buy 100% new part close RCP in small quantity?

Hello CarlosAM.

Your suggestion about " how to buy ? " was helpful , we found SR3UT in Germany in price a bit higher than RCP.

Replacement possibility without any mods is still top secret.

Autorizhed distributors doesn't have knowledge about exactly compatibilty.

Motherboard manufacturer such as XEROX , offers only MB replacement.

We have changed over 300pcs INTEL PCH using the same stepping or higher.

By every replacement we prepared new BIOS for first initialization using settings from manufacturer website or our library.

This time we can not get help from manufacturer , library is empty too and must help ourselves.
