    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I thoroughly enjoyed the article by Kenton Williston on multi-core architectures (&lt;A href="http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/cmp/eetimes100608v2/index.php#"&gt;http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/cmp/eetimes100608v2/index.php#&lt;/A&gt; /12/OnePage &lt;A href="http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/cmp/eetimes100608v2/index.php#"&gt;http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/cmp/eetimes100608v2/index.php#&lt;/A&gt; /12/OnePage" &amp;gt;). He does  agood job pointing out that the hardware vendors seem to have done their job. Now it's up to the software guys to make it all happen. Developers are learning that it's not that hard to get the code to run on the multi-core architecture. But optimizing it, and partitioning the tasks for the highest efficiency is another story.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
