Hi,

Ircona is a design services company based in Dublin, Ireland which has over 20 years experience in the development of x86 based hardware and embedded SW.

We would be able to take on all areas of this design which you cannot support internally, including both the hardware design and the BIOS or coreboot development.

We are a distributor and customisation partner of Phoenix Technologies for BIOS and an Ecosystem partner for Intel's Firmware support package (FSP).

Please contact me on mailto:john.doody@ircona.com john.doody@ircona.com for more information on how we can assist you.

Looking forward to talking further,

John Doody

CEO

Ircona

I'm trying to find some document that overview process of developing embedded systems platform. I know what SoC I want to use and what capbilities system should have.

1. Where to start and what steps to take ?

2. How to obtain CRB for my SoC ?

3. Where to find schematics PCB modification guidelines for my SoC ?

4. Where to find BWG ?

4. How partners ecosystem works, are there manufacturing partners ? Who can design/develope firmware ?

5. How to validate platform during manufacturing ?

Is there any document like that ? It is very hard to find anything in Design Center especially something that will give general introduction. Also search not always return what is asked for.

Hello, pietrushnic:

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Design Center.

In order to start your design please refer to the https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/white-papers/ia-introduction-basics-paper.pdf Introduction to Intel(R) Architecture The Basics, https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/white-papers/ia-platform-basics-paper.pdf Basics of Building Intel(R) Architecture Design document # 324377, and https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/white-papers/ia-pcb-stack-up-overview.pdf Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Stack-up Overview for Intel(R) Architecture Platforms Layout and Signal Integrity Considerations White Papers. Also, you should implement the guidelines stated in the Platform Design Guide (PDG) and Specification Updates documents to have an updated design.

You should request Customer Reference Board (CRB) by filling out the https://plan.seek.intel.com/us_en_embedded_registration-form-contactsaleswebform_html Intel - Contact Sales form.

In order to have implemented the latest suggestions to your design please use the updated documentation as the reference.

The BIOS Writers Guide (BWG) can be found when you are logged to your Resource & Design Center (RDC) privileged account by researching using the browser tool of the https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/design/resource-design-center.html RDC website you have better results using the document # , or in the documentation section of the platforms stated in tEmbeddededd Design Center (EDC) site.

Your Ecosystem partners questions should be addressed by filling out the form stated at https://plan.seek.intel.com/us.en.embedded.registration-form-IoTEU-Contact-Me.html https://plan.seek.intel.com/us.en.embedded.registration-form-IoTEU-Contact-Me.html

You can validate your design using the tools offer at the following website: https://designintools.intel.com/ https://designintools.intel.com/

Your RDC privileged account should be requested by filling out the https://www-ssl.intel.com/content/www/us/en/forms/design/contact-support.html Resource & Design Center Account Support form.

It is important to clarify that specific information can be provided when the part number of the devices are stated in the original communication.

We hope that this information may clarify your previous questions.

Best regards,

Carlos_A.
