[TESTCASE] i9-12900TE crashes hard when E-cores in Performance (H/W p_state) mode

Model : 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900TE
Microcode: 0x2e

I found a testcase that crashes the CPU, if (and only if) efficiency cores are set to "performance" hardware p_state mode.

This only happens for E-cores. P-cores do not exhibit this problem. And this is *not* a thermal issue.

This was reproduced on a Karbon 803 from OnLogic, with two different i9-12900TE CPUs.

OS: Linux (many different kernels, including latest 6.5.1). Also happens on Ubuntu Server 22.04.3 with latest updates.

This problem never happens with regular CPU/RAM stress testing tools. So I built a bootable testcase that can be launched in 2 minutes:

(can take a few hours before the crash happens).

The problem *could* be in Linux hardware p-states driver, but it can also be a microcode bug!

I already contacted OnLogic for support and they replaced the CPU, but of course the problem persists.

Could someone please direct me to Intel for further investigation?
