After installing the PTAT tool on WIN11 OS 22H2, the prompt will appear when running: failed to launch PTAT background process. How to solve it? Thanks.

Thank you for contacting Intel Embedded Community.

In order to get PTAT working you have to run the commands mentioned in section 2.4 from the Help document attached in the PTAT file.

Hi,

Would it be possible to see the 2 commands that probably prevents my windows from booting ? Although, I am not even too sure that I will be able to type these commands in the recovery cmd.exe

To explain my situation, I followed the 2.4 instructions, but my secure boot was already disabled so the first part was easily done.

But then, as the secure boot is greyed out and I couldn't manage to enable it, I figured that I would just type on the commands from the second part of this paragraph. But after restart, Windows tries to automatic repair and simply won't boot anymore.

And I can't find a way to reverse the 2 commands as the PTAT PDF is nowhere on the internet and I can't access it on my drive no more.

I received an intel lunar lake devkit with an intel core ultra 7 258V.

Since yesterday I managed to solve the Windows boot issue by reapplying these commands:
bcdedit/set nointegritychecks on
bcdedit/set TESTSIGNING ON

It's probably my fault for setting those OFF and wondering why Windows kept telling me that the digital signature of my drivers (probably many but at least the Platform Monitoring Technology one) couldn't be verified. I checked and the certificate Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher has indeed expired on 16/10/2024 for this file intcpmt.sys.

Back to the original problem that led me to this thread, the Intel(R)PowerAndThermalAnalysisTool came preinstalled, but it won't start because:

Failed to launch PTAT background process.

I don't have this issue with Intel(R) SystemScopeTool or Intel(R) ReadWriteTool for example.

We need to clarify that the Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 Processor 258V is not an Embedded processor. You can confirm this information in the third row of the supplemental information section of the following website:
