discussione Ubuntu 18 LXDE image for DE10 Nano in Embedded Intel® Core™ Processors

Hello,

I wanted to install CUPS in Linux running on HPS side of DE10 Nano, but the current version of Ubunto is 16.04 in LXDE image that comes with it. THat version has reached to EOL, so I was wondering if I could find LXDE image with Ubuntu 18 and could easily install CUPS on it via APT update. Thanks in advance

Hi @Mahsheed

Thank you for contacting the Intel Embedded Community.

Unfortunately, the support for the LXDE image has reached the end of support; however, you could still continue using the console image without a GUI like the LXDE image.

There are steps to build the rootfs for the console image in the link below:

https://altera-fpga.github.io/rel-25.1/embedded-designs/cyclone-v/sx/soc/gsrd/ug-gsrd-cve-soc/#binaries

Best regards,

Jaime L.
