Hi. We are integrating a 82599 chipset onto a board that we are building. We want to be able to set one interface to use 10GBASE-KR and the other interface to use 1000BASE-KX. This is a non-standard interface. From what we can tell looking at documentation, we will need to program the EEPROM onboard in order to achieve this configuration. Can you point me in the right direction of how to configure the chip to support backplane/sfp modes? Thanks in advance.

Right, we are already aware of the datasheet and those sections you mentioned. What we are really most interested in is the way to program the EEPROM, if there is an associated tool or firmware image to do so? As I stated, we are planning to use this chipset on a new product we are making and would like to pre-load the EEPROM with the settings we intend to use. Some direction in how this is done would be extremely helpful. Thanks.
