and when the dropped happen, the cpu, queue buffer and interrupt works well and is not overload.

besides this issue not happened to general IP packet.

What is the firmware version of the NIC?
Do the drops happen under specific traffic conditions (high load, burst traffic, large packet sizes, etc.)?
Does this happen with both inbound and outbound GRE packets, or only in one direction?
Have any workarounds or changes (such as increasing buffer sizes or adjusting queue settings) been tested?

3 I don't think so. when the drops happen, the cpu is 40-50%, we just test with general packets and drop not happened at the beginning.
there are packets drop for both inbound and outbound, based on our observations, the packets loss rate for GRE packets is about the same as that for general IP packets with outbound. but for inbound, the loss rate for GRE packets is obvious higher than IP packets.
we haven't found any workaround, the buffer size has been set to the largest.

I am not quite sure what the information you are needed.

out product is a 5G network element that operates in the form of a cloud service.

it has one control node and several worker node.

below is the information for control node and worker node.

I haven't. and I wonder whether I can do this operation on the test bed.

as I am not very family with hardware and driver, could you kindly help me check which driver I need to update to?

besides we use DPDK to send and receive packets, the version of DPDK is 22.11
