Hello intel support,

We are having an interoperability issue with an **Intel E810-XXV** in a **Supermicro AS2015HS-TNR** server.

We need to use an **Evertz 10G LR SFP**, but the NIC appears to disable the port after some time.
- Evertz SFP PN: **SFP10G-TR13-J**

### Behavior
- The Evertz module is initially detected / partially works
- After some time, the **link goes down and the NIC seems to shut down the port**
- Intel-branded optics work normally in the same server/NIC

### Environment
- **NIC:** Intel Ethernet Controller **E810-XXV**
- **Platform:** Supermicro **AS2015HS-TNR**
- **Driver:** `ice`
- **Kernel/driver version:** `6.5.0-2102-generic`
- **Current firmware:** `4.60 0x8001e8d4 1.3682.0`
- PCI: `0000:42:00.1`

`ethtool -i` output:
driver: ice
version: 6.5.0-2102-generic
firmware-version: 4.60 0x8001e8d4 1.3682.0
bus-info: 0000:42:00.1
```
### What we want to know
Can Intel confirm whether this **Evertz SFP10G-TR13-J ** is supported on the **E810-XXV**?
Specifically:
- Does E810 allow **3rd-party / non-Intel SFP+ optics**?
- Is the link being disabled because of **unsupported optics validation**?
- Is there any **supported firmware/NVM setting** or newer package that would allow this optic?
- If unsupported, can Intel confirm that explicitly?
### Firmware update attempts
We also tried updating NVM from **4.60** to **4.91**, but have not found a working update path on this server.
Tried:
- `nvmupdate64e`
- custom cfg matching device IDs
- specifying PCI location
- UEFI/USB method
- `bootutil64e`
- Supermicro IPMI path
Results:
- `nvmupdate64e` did not actually update the NIC
- `bootutil64e` appears to update Option ROM only, not E810 NVM
- Supermicro IPMI update path is blocked by DCMS licensing
### Question
Is this:
1. an **unsupported optic/vendor EEPROM** issue,
2. an **E810 firmware/NVM** issue,
3. or something that should be handled by **Supermicro** instead?
