Hi,

I wanted to setup several VLAN interfaces between my PC (Windows 7 32-bit) and a managed switch via VLAN trunk. I've purchased Intel Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter (EXPI9301CTBLK).

Windows has installed its own driver for the NIC, it only allowed to enable or disable VLAN support. I've installed the latest driver from Intel site and now there are no settings at all for the NIC.

Please suggest how to setup several VLAN interfaces?

Just to find out if the adapter supports VLAN I've installed a fresh Windows 7 x32 on another partition: everything is ok there with the driver. I can see additional tabs with settings for the NIC in device manager and can create VLAN interfaces.

But I need to have it on my usual Windows system. I removed and installed the driver many times: it doesn't help. Does anybody know how to solve it?

Hi Murad, on the windows system that you have problem seeing the VLAN settings, you can try doing the ff:

1. uninstall the driver and software of Intel adapter, clean up the registry related to Intel adapter, details can be found in this link - http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/CS-029916.htm http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/CS-029916.htm

2. after you've completely uninstall, try to manually install the driver 1st then the software, steps below:

     a. extract the prowin32.exe from this path (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18713&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows%207%20%2832-bit%29*&DownloadType= Download Center) using winrar

b.Go to the extracted content, look for "APPS" folder

c.Inside the "APPS/SETUPBD/win64", double-click on the "setupBD.exe" to install the driver

     d. After driver installation, go back to the "APPS/PROSETDX/win64", double-click on the "Dxsetup.exe" to install the ANS

hope the above info help.
