I recently purchased an Intel Pro/1000 MT server NIC and installed it on an Intel DG31PR motherboard running Windows Home Server. I went to Intel's website and downloaded and installed the latest drives for the NIC, however no matter what I do I cannot get the advanced TAB to show under the properties for the adapter. Am I missing something or does this card not have any advanced properties?

Hello,

We've seen this if you're logging in via Terminal Services. It has to do with User Permissions in Windows* If you are trying to configure it via Terminal Services try this solution:

http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/CS-020166.htm http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/CS-020166.htm

Otherwise, if you're seeing this issue while physicaly infront of the computer then it could be a couple other things.

During install ensure you have Intel(R) Proset for Windows* Device Manager is selected.

If you did that already and it's still not showing, then:

Ensure WMI service is started

Hope that helps.

Justin
