I am a beginner developer and trying to get the distance data in real world.

My goal is to know whether there are some obstacles near my R200 and their distance. The samples in SDK show the depth image captured by my R200, but I can not get what I want in the source code. What should I do?

I think that it is easier to find what you need to know on this forum if you think of distance in terms of the depth between the camera and an obstacle in the camera's view. Thinking about the problem in those terms, this thread may be useful to you.

Don't worry about the article header saying they are using a BlasterX camera. It's a rebranded version of the RealSense SR300 camera.
