Computers with SDK 2.0-compatible cameras?

Panasonic are introducing a Windows 10 Pro tablet, the Toughpad FZ-M1, with a RealSense D410 camera (the D410 is a D415-type rolling shutter camera). This is the only device with a 400 Series camera that my research could find.

Thanks a lot, MartyG. It appears that Panasonic is using a rear-mounted camera for scanning, but I'm actually interested in a front-mounted camera. Have you heard of any tablets or laptops with D-series front-mounted cameras in the pipeline? Also, if the D410 is the integrated analog of the stand-alone D415, is D430 the moniker of the integrated analog of the D435? Thanks again.

The Panasonic tablet is the only announced product I could find that uses a 400 Series camera. I located a Panasonic product page that confirms that the RealSense camera is rear-facing.

The way that Intel name their internal camera modules is that D400, D410 and D415 are rolling shutter cameras like the D415 USB camera, and D420 and D430 modules are global shutter cameras like the D435 USB camera (which uses a D430 module inside it).

The modules have varying configurations that enable integrators to pick the model that best suits their product. For example, the D415 module has an integrated RGB sensor but the D430 does not, and its RGB sensor is attached inside as a separate component when making the D435 USB camera.

Edit: the though occurs to me that if you are willing to sacrifice a bit of mobility, you could set up the RealSense SDK 2,0 software on a 'rooted' Android tablet. This official documentation page explains the process:

MobileDemand have created a rugged tablet with an option to have RealSense D415. It is due to be released this month (July 2018).

Thanks a lot MartyG. I fear that that tablet's optional RealSense camera will be rear-facing (I'm looking for front-facing ones). I have an email in to the company now to clarify which direction that camera faces.

It is apparently rear-facing according to further details I found. I also learned that there will be a lower-priced model.

It seems though they will also be offering D415 as a separate attachment via a protective boot. A third option is rugged cases for devices such as iPad Pro that can have a D415 attached to them.

Thank you for sharing this information. Have you tried the Panasonic FZ-M1 Tablet and developed apps on it? Does it requires propriety SDK from Panasonic in order to develop D400 applications? Or we can simply develop the app with Intel's SDK directly?
