The 400 Series cameras work with any Intel or ARM processor, so are compatible with a wide variety of boards. The ideal is a full USB 3 port, though it does also work with the 'USB 3 OTG' micro-ports typical on small single-board computers.

A 400 Series camera can function in a USB 2.0 port too, though with greatly limited capabilities compared to a USB 3 port.

https://www.intelrealsense.com/usb2-support-for-intel-realsense-technology/

The most popular alternative to Up Board is the Raspberry Pi. Intel has a guide to using a 400 Series camera with a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B and its USB 2.0 port.

https://github.com/IntelRealSense/librealsense/blob/master/doc/RaspberryPi3.md

The camera can function with other types of Raspberry Pi board, though the more the hardware spec is reduced, the more that performance is likely to be impacted.

Another alternative is a more powerful model of Up Board with a full USB 3 port, such as the Up Core or Up Squared. Up Core has one USB 3 Type A port, and Up Squared has four USB 3 ports (one of which is an OTG) .

Up Core

https://up-shop.org/up-core/271-up-core.html

Up Squared

https://up-shop.org/home/270-up-squared.html
