There is not an official authorized cable, just ones that have either been recommended by other RealSense users or have been shown to work with the camera. In general, it should be a high-quality cable ('industrial grade', preferably) that is capable of supporting high data loads (since RealSense cameras can transmit a lot of data bandwidth through the cable).

The primary recommendation that I usually give is for Newnex industrial-grade cables, since they have been shown to work with the 400 Series cameras, and they supply extender equipment that can extend the camera successfully up to 100 m. They are not inexpensive though.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLQgR1jT04M

In general, a rule of thumb that I use when searching for USB-C cables from other suppliers is price. If it costs less than $20 then I don't consider it. This helps to avoid the trap of purchasing a USB charging cable that is only suited to charging up devices but not for carrying high data loads. Search stores for 'usb type-c cable'

Hello guys. I'm trying to set the camera at the height around 3m to the ground, obviously the default 1m USB wire is not enough. I bought a 3m USB extension wire but it resulted in Windows not recognizing the camera, are there any intel authorized 3m wires I could use? Thanks!

I am currently using 3m USB 3.0 Type C cable, which took me quite some effort to find. As @MartyG mentioned, if it is too cheap, it probably is charging cable. USB 3.0 has usually blue plastic in the connector, and extra 5 pins in there, total up to 9 pins.

I am from Malaysia, so will be difficult for you to get the brand I use. But you can try this that I found on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/JOTO-Type-C-Charging-Braided-Nintendo/dp/B017COHTJ6/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?keywords=usb+3.0+type+c+3+meter&qid=1560840474&s=gateway&sr=8-15 Can you request seller to take a photo of the USB internal connector? If it has 9 pins, it is USB 3.0. Google USB 3 vs USB 2.
