I need some recommendation about ROM memories!

Hi everyone!

First of all sorry for my english, I am not native. Thank you for you attention.

Well, I am looking for some guide, some tutorial or some source recommendation about VHDL and how to generate ROM memories. I need to do this:

1. I have to programe a ROM memory in VHDL (easy, I know to do that)

2. I have to use MATLAB to generate some data. (easy, I also know to do this step)

3. Then, here is the problem. I need to move this data, somehow, to my ROM memory. I need some guide or some source recomendation about how to programe a ROM memory in VHDL with data inside.

I want to emphasize two things:

- The amount of data is very large. I can't do it one by one.

- I can't use ROM memory of quartus IP block

- All of this has to be made like a software simulation. I mean, I dont want to implement phisicaly the project. I need software results.
