Hi there,

Our QDI P4848P pro mainboard need to install Chipset (848P + ICH5R) driver, but QDI official website closed.

Q_a: Where can download above chipset driver? please?

and We want to do this:

Download chipset drivers that used 848p chipset in mainboard model from 2 famous mainboard corp.

but their readme.txt of driver,one said Target Chipset#: Intel(R) E8500, one said Target Chipset#: Intel(R) 925X/XE, both not for 848P.

Q_b: So we are not sure install above chipset driver on QDI P4848P + Winxp.

and we want to know :

Q_c: Do we need to intall the Intel Application Accelerator(IAA) on our QDI P4848P + Winxp?

Q_d: QDI P4848P had 2 sata port, we want to install 160GB sata hdisk + Winxp, so we need to install indiviual sata driver for QDI P4848P?

Forget what the readme file says; the INF Update packages are incremental, so retain support for previous chipsets. I looked inside the GigaByte version (the EXE is actually a SFX); the embedded files appear to still have support for WinXP install and INF files going all the way back to the 815 chipset are included.

Q_a: Use the file from GigaByte.

Q_b: Use the file from GigaByte.

Q_c: No.

Q_d: WinXP has inbox SATA driver. In theory, you shouldn't need a separate one.
