Hi,

I will be grateful if someone can help me figure out the unit of the depth in the depth images. Is it in meters or in millimeters?? AFAIK each pixel in the depth image contains the depth information, I wanted to know the unit of the information.

Besides, I also wanted to know the difference between /camera/depth/image_raw and /camera/depth/image_transcoded .

Thanks.

Hi,

Depth data in the "raw" image is in mm.

the transcode is just transcoding to 8bit gray scale for visualization.

Thanks,

Amit

(intel)
