Hi,

I'm searching for very old Dayna drivers, found them but cannot download them.

Intel bought the Dayna company many years ago and so it seems intel is the only source for this drivers worldwide.

When I go to http://ftplike.com/browser/download.intel.com/support/dayna/ http://ftplike.com/browser/download.intel.com/support/dayna/

all Dayna drivers are listed, but when I try to download, they are not found.

I got different links like:

ftp://download.intel.com/support/dayna/ep_ad321.hqx ftp://download.intel.com/support/dayna/ep_ad321.hqx - asking for name & password (anonymous not available),

http://downloadmirror.intel.com/654/eng/ep_ad321.hqx http://downloadmirror.intel.com/654/eng/ep_ad321.hqx - File not found.

Is there any way to get these old drivers?

Given that Intel's acquisition of Dayna was in 1998, I think that your chances of getting the drivers from the Intel website are zero, sadly.

There are driver sites that offer Dayna drivers for download (which are likely to be DOS drivers rather than Windows ones), but the reputation of these sites is very shady, so using them is at your own risk. Example:

I'm searching for old Mac OS drivers, which also are listed there. I'm using old - still available - hardware for education purposes and most time I'm able to find the old drivers too, but Dayna drivers are very rare.

I admit I hadn't tried the download links on that page, I was just using it as an example of a non-Intel driver download site that listed Dayna drivers. I'm sorry they didn't work for you.

Could you tell me please which particular Dayna device you are searching for a Mac driver for? Thanks!

Devices are:

Dayna Mini EtherPrint Plus

and Dayna EtherPrint

using the same software / driver:

Dayna EtherPrint Administrator Software 3.2.1 (ep_ad321.hqx)

and

Dayna EtherPrint SecurIt Control Panel Utility 1.0.4 (scurit104.hqx)

and

DaynaPORT drivers (dport772.hqx)

It would be a pleasure, if this drivers are found somewhere in the dark.

The Mac Driver Museum was the only place I could find working download links that claim to contain all Dayna NIC device drivers. I've no idea what's inside the packages as I don't have a Mac, I could only confirm they were downloadable. Hopefully they will have what you need. Scroll down to the 'Dayna' section on the page.

Yes, Daynaport ist there, my mistake. Sorry I already downloaded it earlier.

And the CommuniCard driver (for the PCMCIA Ethernet card).

But when I search for

Dayna EtherPrint Administrator Software 3.2.1 (ep_ad321.hqx)

and

Dayna EtherPrint SecurIt Control Panel Utility 1.0.4 (scurit104.hqx)

all known sites in the net point to intel, the supposed guardian of this treasure.

And believe me, I started my search 2 weeks ago, before I asked the intel community.

In almost hopeless search situations, my last resort is to use very obscure search engines like dogpile.com to get search results that the more popular engines ignore. Sadly, even dogpile couldn't dig up the missing files. I think both of us have done everything that we possibly can, sadly.

Sometimes files get lost over the years until a developer finds a copy in a dusty drawer or box in an attic somewhere and puts it back on the internet.

New facts:

I changed my search strings from Dayna .....

to intel...

and found a Chinese Site, that only can be visited with a TOR browser like Onion Browser.

On this site all Dayna files are listed for download.

I think I should learn Chinese language first...
