SDK 3 FaceTracking

You could have saved me a lot of trouble if mentioning on the SDK download page, or at least in the documentation, that the FaceTracking is not (yet hopefully) released in the new SDK version...I have already implemented large parts of my application using the new SDK, now I am stuck as FaceTracking would be an important feature. Is there any plan to release this part of the SDK in the near future or do I have to migrate back to the old SDK?

I have meet the same problem. Is there any one can tell me that the FaceTracking part is not avalible forever or just not release in this sdk version?

Thank you for contacting us.

The face tracking feature not being implemented on the latest SDK is documented here http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/emerging-technologies/intel-realsense-technology/000023222.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/emerging-technologies/intel-realsense-technology/000023222.html . The only information at the moment is what's described in the aforementioned document:" Face support may be released as a separate MW in the future."

There is no timeline yet but, if and when it is released it will be available for download as an independent module in the SDK download page https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-realsense-sdk/download https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-realsense-sdk/download

As an alternative, face tracking is still available in the previous SDK releases.
