D400 external sync connector I2C

The datasheet for the D4 vision processor card says that the external sync connector exposes an I2C bus for controlling external devices. My question is how to access this from software? https://github.com/IntelRealSense/librealsense/blob/master/doc/rs400/external_devices.md https://github.com/IntelRealSense/librealsense/blob/master/doc/rs400/external_devices.md explains how to access the GPIO pins, but I can't find any documentation on I2C.

The I2C bus is not used in the hardware, therefore, it is not exposed externally.
