Hi Steve,

Just ran Update 4, and now I have no Fortran integration in MSVS 2010 Pro.

do you have a remedy for this?

I see that the reference Steve gave hasn't been updated to reflect that the ifort update in question works for VS201/0/1/3/5.

Taking the precaution of first removing some beta test components, the update 4 on Windows 10 (my only remaining VS2010) gave me no unexpected trouble. I ran into the usual win10 requirement for administrator privilege to remove each .log and refusing to allow me to copy the installer .exe anywhere besides where I downloaded.

VS2015 is not yet officially supported - you won't find it mentioned in the release notes. I will update the article to mention VS2015 when the time comes.

Failure to register the VS integration has been an ongoing issue for years. It is rare, but it does happen and isn't specific to particular updates.

First, look in your %TEMP% folder (type that into the Start menu search box) for a folder whose name starts with "pset". Under this are folders with install log files. Please find the most recent one from the update 4 install, ZIP it, and attach it to a reply here. Then uninstall Parallel Studio and reinstall. This usually fixes it. I will send the logs to the install developers.

I fixed it before I got your reply. What I discusovered is that the "repair" option on the installer was unable to resolve the issue, but the "modify" option did.

I was able to fix up my installation of 2015XE after adding VS2015 by running both modify and repair. With the 16.0 beta version, it's not as easy, I'm still fumbling with it.

Tim, please file an Intel Premier Support issue and attach the install logs (from pset_PSXE2016_xxx). We need as many of these as we can get.
