Installation issue

Installed intel-oneapi-base-toolkit-2025.2.1.46_offline.exe and ...hpc...

Installation was successful. (Installed without MS VS 2022 Community not running)

On launch of MS VS 2022 Community (without a reboot after installing newer version of oneAPI)

Attached is ActivityLog.xml

Will try reboot and launch of MS VS

Hey, this usually appears after installing Intel® oneAPI Toolkits when Visual Studio hasn’t yet refreshed its environment. Here’s how to fix it step-by-step:

Restart Your PC
After installing oneAPI, Visual Studio needs a reboot to update its paths and extensions.
Try rebooting first — this alone often fixes the issue.
Run Visual Studio as Administrator
Right-click Visual Studio → Run as Administrator once after rebooting.
This lets Visual Studio load Intel’s debugging package correctly.
Repair Intel oneAPI integration
- Open Intel oneAPI Command Prompt (search it from Start).
- Run this command:
  
  devenv /updateconfiguration
  or, if needed:
  
  devenv /setup
This rebuilds the Visual Studio package cache.
Clear Visual Studio’s Component Cache
- Close Visual Studio.
- Delete this folder:
  
  %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\VisualStudio\17.0_*\ComponentModelCache
- Then restart Visual Studio.
If the error persists:
Go to Extensions → Manage Extensions → Installed and ensure:
- “Intel® oneAPI Integration for Visual Studio” is listed and enabled.
- If it’s not, reinstall it using the oneAPI installer.

Reboot did not correct the issue.

I am uninstalling all versions of oneAPI, then reinstalling the most recent version.

I don't see it but I wonder if you had separately installed the Integrations into Visual Studio package from the VS Marketplace?

Uninstalling all installed oneAPI's, reboot, install oneAPI Base, launch MS VS Community 2022 gets same MS VS startup warning about IntelGfxDbgPackage not found.

Loading the current Gfx drivers (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/products/80939/graphics.html), Get Started (ID's system) and installing all components. Still have warning

Note, this message comes up at start of MS VS _before_ we get to selecting what project/solution to open/create.

Now I have an additional error.

In a Solution that had been working for years (decades), after uninstalling oneAPI's and reinstalling newest oneAPI, I am now getting a link error

fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file svml_disp.lib

If I add svml_disp.lib to: Ignore Specific Library

The link succeeds.

I install VS and oneapi on a lot of computers, at least two this week, I would clean out everything and then use revo uninstaller to clean up the remains and then start with VS 2022 community works and then oneapi. I range from 2015 computers, windows 10 to latest and I never have a problem.

If it does not work then try another computer.

Are you using a XEON?

I haven't recently tried my Xeon system. The error message shows on my i9 14900K system.

I am able to build projects (both ifx Fortran and DPC++)

Just get warning of missing IntelGfxDbgPackage

That is part of the toolkits but there is a stand aloine installer https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/tools/oneapi/distribution-for-gdb-download.html you could try that.

That fix worked before I installed an Arc Pro b50, Installing its driver, rebooting

Now I get back: missing IntelGfxDbgPackage

Re-running the gdb installer does not fix the problem.

Following @wilford139 's suggestion did not work either.

Trying a repair on oneAPI Base toolkit...

Remember life is a beach with a lot of sharks, the same as bugs in a Fortran compiler. Sometimes you die or the code does.

I have been playing with ULARC, 1972 code is so nice.
