Intel Fortran compiler not showing error lines ( compiler )

Hello, when running Fortran code, line numbers are not displayed for compiler errors.

Previously, I could always jump to the corresponding line when an error occurred.

But now (Intel® Fortran Compiler 2025.3) this no longer works.

I am using Visual Studio - Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2019 version 16.11.52.

Is this due to Visual Studio?

Which version of Visual Studio can I use (free)?

I am successfully using Visual Studio 2022 Community Edition with Intel Fortran Compiler 2024.2.1 IFX and IFORT versions. I'd suggest giving those versions a try. Also, Intel Fortran is now integrated with Visual Studio 2026, so that's also likely to be a combination that works.
