As Intel stopped using license servers almost a decade ago, and the licensing forum was removed, I'd guess that there's nobody left at Intel who can help with this. I suggest instead downloading and installing the latest Intel oneAPI compiler, which is free to everyone. You will need a newer version of Microsoft Visual Studio.

We are attempting to install and activate a license for Intel Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition for Windows 2019. We're installing on an EC2 Windows instance, in AWS.

When attempting to activate the floating license, we get this error
"License cannot be verified: license server is down or not responding"

The license server is on-prem. We have opened these ports and verified connectivity (tnc): 28518, 28519, and 27009.

We have also tried the alternative licensing methods without success

license file - Same issue, attempting to connect to on-prem license server

serial number - Different issue, attempting to connect to Internet

Our questions

Can anyone point us in the right direction, with respect to port usage (e.g., are we missing any) and/or logging that might provide more information?

Is there an "offline" licensing process that we can use in lieu of opening ports for communication between AWS and on-prem?

For the serial number approach, recommendations on domains to whitelist for general Internet activation?
