Thank you Tim for your reply.

I think I installedC++ and C++-X64 components of VS. But certainly, I dont know I installed or not. When I look "About Microsoft Visual Studio", it seems there is Microsoft Visual C++ 2008. But there is no X64 component. While I install VS2008, I had choosed X64 part. In addition to this, I installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package(X64).

When I tried to install Intel Visual Fortran 11.1.067, there is a error:Error 1311. Source file not found Setup\Installs\1033\w_cpromkl_ia32_p_10.2.067\Data1.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

I really need to install Intel Visual Fortran 11.1 to use Abaqus 6.10.1.

Thank you again...

Hi All,

I am trying to install Fortan 10.1 to my Windows 7 64 Bi labtop. But there is a error: "setup did not find a supported Microsoft Visual Studio". I had installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional before. What can I do now to install Fortran 10.1?

All the best,

Nazim

As you will see if you read the multiple earlier posts on this, early ifort 10.1 isn't suitable for installation on Win7 (except possibly the 32-bit version, running under XPM). You should try at least a late version of 11.1. Did you check that you can open the VS 2008 C++ development environment, and, if you are trying to install the Intel64 compiler, that you can switch a project into X64 mode (have installed the C++ and C++-X64 components of VS)? Remember that you won't have much use for X64 mode unless you are running the Windows 7 for X64.

Which 10.1 did you install? The very first release of 10.1 did not support VS2008 - I think 10.1.019 was the first release to do so.

For the 11.1 install error, try temporarily disabling antivirus and other background scanning programs. Use the Retry button if it shows.

When you run the 11.1 installer it unpacks into Program Files\Intel\Downloads. Can you run the setup from there? Maybe try a newer 11.1 (.070 I think is the last one.)
