Dear all,

I have recently installed MM5 in my Linux X86_64 system using INTEL
compiler. My problem is except mm5.exe I can run all the other modules
of MM5. While running mm5.exe, it shows some segmentation fault error.
I have tried "ulimit -s unlimited" also, but it does not help. But with
the same compiler I have successfully installed and run WRF and WRFDA.
I am attaching all the required error files with this mail. Please help
me out.

Thanking you

Please read the notes to which there is a link at the top of the main page of this forum

Diagnosing SIGSEGV errors

Unless there is evidence to suggest that the seg-fault occurs when the Intel compiler is used because either

(i) the compiler puts out erroneous code
or
(ii) there is uncertainty as to what compiler switches were to be used to obtain proper program behavior

I think that the seg-fault be considered a routine programming error, to be resolved by the authors and users of MM5 (or whatever third party software that is being built).

In other words, I would not expect Intel to provide debugging services for someone else's software.
There are way too many possibilities for anyone to guess what you have done. If you use ifort intel64 together with Intel MPI, there may be someone watching the HPC forum who could help. Did you read the MM5 page where they tell you it's not being kept up date, as if it's not evident from the file you attached?
