Copy the actual license file (.lic) from C:Program FilesCommon FilesIntelLicenses from the current machine into a temporary location on the new system. Then run the compiler installation on the new system and when prompted direct the installation to the temporary copy of the license. The installation will proceed and also place a permanent copy of the license in the location mentioned. After the installation completes you can delete the temporary copy of the license.

You could also just install on the second machine using a serial number. Note that our compiler licenses typically allow you to install on as many systems as you want, as long as you are the primary user. The exception is a "node-locked" license which we no longer sell, but customers may have bought previously.

Of course, if you are no longer going to use the old system, you should remove the license from it. The Intel licenses are placed in C:Program FilesCommon FilesIntelLicenses

Thanks for adding/clarifying Steve.

Please excuse the extra steps Mark. My brain was stuck in "I can't install using the Serial number, what do I do?" mode this morning.

I have experienced problem when re-installing Fortran with 'node-locked' license - in the same PC in order to add some missed installation option.

When I tried to fill the serial number to the linked website during re-installation, it was failed (invalide key/serial number). How to solve this problem ?

Thanks.
Daus.

Node-locked licenses require a license server - if you were simply reinstalling, the install should have found the license server and suggested that as the default. If it didn't, select the option to use a license server. Serial numbers won't work if the serial number was issued when an earlier version was current, but license files will work.

If you need more help, please ask in our Licensing forum section.
