UHD 630 maximum resolution

Hello,

I have a Intel i3-10100 on a Asus H410M-A linked to a HP V28 4K using High speed HDMI cable.

Windows limit the resolution to 2560x1600, and it's the higher mode listed.

Intel graphics center show the same limit but in informations tab i can see 3840x2160@60 (4K)

ARK i3-10100 explains the limit is 4096x2160@30 (HDMI 1.4) and 4096x2304@60 (Displayport)

ARK H410 didn't show any graphical limits (my motherboard have 1xHDMI 1xDVI-D 1xVGA)

HP V28 4K is 4K monitor with 2xHDMI and 1xDP

So i tried using a DVI to HDMI cable with the same result !

What i can do to run at 4K resolution on my screen using UHD 630, for working purpose ? Thank you

Since there are a lot of such cases and the installation of native resolution is very important for the quality of the image on the screen, let's ask Intel Corp. to someday write a diagnostic program that would report why passport modes recorded in the EDID of the display and easily read through the connection cable cannot be installed by the video adapter driver. In your case, HDMI 1.4 mode 3840x2160@30Hz should not encounter any difficulties for the graphics of the processor and display.

To a certain extent, it can be assumed that this is due to a limited amount of memory for the graphics subsystem,
but usually it's enough now.

I tried with a GT710 and it's working on my computer:

- 4K using the same HDMI cable

- 4K using the DVI to HDMI cable

- 2 x 4K on my 2 x HP V28 4K, but i got a bad responsiveness (slow text on Word, Outlook...)

Unfortunatly, the UHD 630 have 50% better performance of the very old GT 710 😞

I can advise you to click on the blank Desktop right mouse button to open the context menu and select "Display Settings" in it, then sequentially follow the blue links "Advanced Display Settings", "Display Adapter Properties for Display 1(2)" with the call of the standard Windows dialog of the properties of the video adapter together with the monitor and in it "List All Modes", in which you can see all the modes from where you can select the desired mode. There is here in dialog also very useful "Monitor" tab.
The built-in graphics adapter uses part of the system memory and its volume should be large enough.
This is reflected in the "Dedicated Video Memory:" option in the dialog box, which is set in the "Video" section of the BIOS.
In the first versions of Windows, the application window was updated by the program, but now they are stored in memory and you can see how they are very quickly appear on the screen, and this requires a lot of memory and the higher the resolution the much more.
The NVIDIA GT 710 has its own memory in the adapter.
Minimum 4K mode requires 8Gb/s or 2.7Gb/s bandwidth per HDMI interface line. This is not such a high speed for 5 ft cable, given that local networks at 1Gb/s have a length of 100m, and the maximum speed per line for various
interface types are about 10Gb/s. DisplayPort already uses DSC compression for high resolutions.
With the display is usually packed and HDMI cable, which should be used.

"Report for Intel® Graphics Drivers" contains, in particular, information about the available graphics modes and the EDID of the display.
As a useful clarifying step you can try to connect another 4K monitor.
In "Parameters" select "System", "Display", then sequentially follow the blue links "Advanced Display Settings", "Display Adapter Properties for Display 1(2)" with the call of the standard Windows dialog of the properties of the video adapter together with the monitor and in it "List All Modes". Best case in your system is 3840x2160 @ 30Hz how in attachment.

Your MB has no DisplayPort to use and theoretical as with GT 701 4K is real you can try connect display
with corresponding HDMI-DP and DP-HDMI connectors.

Also theoretically, 4K can be obtained with a different processor as they work together.
