Hi,

I experience laggy graphics with my ThinkPad.
I had this problem a couple of months before until I installed Lenovo Vantage & Intel Driver & Support Assistant. Updates were installed and BIOS was also updated. It was very fluent then.

When do I notice the laggy graphics?

e.g.

- moving a window is delayed

- switching tabs in google chrome, also when I close a tab and the following moves to the position of the closed tab
- typing something into the "search field" at the task bar
- every page in the internet which contains graphics load longer than usual

The small blue loading circle often turns up during the lags.

According to Lenovo & Intel all software is up-to-date.

When did this issue start?
What is the version of the Intel graphics driver?
Did you try other driver versions?
Does this happen randomly or every time?
Did you complete all Windows updates?

Hi David,

I think I noticed it on Saturday but that's not really helpful since I can't remember what happened right before that.

Driver Version: 30.0.101.1340
Haven't tried other Driver Versions. Which one should I try? How do I deinstall and install older ones properly?
It happens the whole time more or less severe
Checked manually for Windows Updates and found two - installing them didn't make a difference

Thank you for the update. To install a new driver, please follow the steps from the article:

Clean Installation of Intel® Graphics Drivers in Windows:

After that:

1. Try without a driver. Follow steps 7 to 14 from the article.

2. Update the driver, the latest version is 30.0.101.1404

3. Try a previous driver from the same link

Sorry, I was busy a couple of days and was now able to follow your instructions.
Problem is solved! Graphics are fluent again! Thanks very much!
Had to deinstall twice until "Microsoft Basic Display Driver" appeared.
I installed the newest driver 30.0.101.1404.
