"Error when trying to add resolution. Incorrect parameters".

However, 1280x600 comes as a standard within the Intel Graphics Command Center resolution options, and 1920x800 succesfully created. The thing is that I intend to recreate an ultra-wide cinema theater aspect ratio in order to watch movies full screen with no letterbox on a perfect 21:9 aspect ratio custom-made screen.

Custom-made 21:9 screen.

I'm interested in 1280x540 res because of a cheaper 720p native projector for a bedroom. This projector is capable to read input 1080p signal, and although pixels and overall text are legible, 1280x540 real signal would be much more convenient for such 720p native resolution.

Chip is Intel HD 500 embedded into an Intel Celeron N3350 with 4GB DDR-3 RAM. Both 60 Hz and 50 Hz options were tested.

Hope a quick comment...Regards!!!

Hi

Your projector must support the resolution that you want to add, and it obviously doesn't support it

Hmmm....under a Nvidia GeForce 320 and same projector I am able to flawlessly set the desktop size in 1280x540. Chances are it is not about the resolution size, but the desktop size.

Is there any other way to set a desktop size within an Intel HD 500? Not sure about this...

Thanks for the help. Regards!!!

Unfortunately Intel's drivers team are not competent to write drivers. I think it is waste of time to try to resolve this issue by yourself. Better write to Intel's technical support to make them aware that driver is buggy and useless, with hope they will fix this bug in next driver release.
