Please understand that the sentence was written using a translator.
I am using Graphics UHD630.
Get the latest driver (Intel® Graphics – Windows* DCH Driver 30.0.101.1660 Driver Date 3/31/2022 version) from Intel's home page
After installing and rebooting, Windows updates automatically
Force downgrade to version 30.0.101.1109.
Occasionally, an error occurs when updating the driver, which interrupts the installation
I want to know what kind of error code 1 is when there is a problem.

Hello @Bukyung

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

This is a behavior that we have previously seen and this is documented in the following article: Windows* Update Reverting to an Older Graphics Driver.

The recommendation is the following:

Install the latest DCH Graphics driver over the existing driver.

Do not uninstall the driver using the "Device Manager method" (where you check the checkbox in device manager to remove driver files). This will remove the driver from the driver store, causing Windows Update to install it again.

If the behavior persists, please provide us with the following information:

1- A screenshot showing the "error code 1" on the system:

2- Details of the steps and method that you are using to install the latest driver from Intel's home page:

3- An Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) report to gather more details about the system:

Download the Intel® SSU and save the application on your computer

Open the application, check the "Everything" checkbox, and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. The Intel® SSU defaults to the "Summary View" on the output screen following the scan. Click the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".

To save your scan, click Next and click Save.

Once you have saved the file (.txt file), please attach it to your reply.

To upload and attach a file, use the "Drag and drop here or browse files to attach" option below the response textbox.

Best regards,

Andrew G.

Intel Customer Support Technician

Thank you for your help
The answer you sent me won't solve it
I called the customer service and got it
Automatic updates are not supported by the driver yet
It's because it's the Windows version
As you wrote down, I'll use SSU,
Send an e-mail directly to the counselor at the customer center to get an answer
We're waiting.

Hello Bukyung

Thank you for your response.

Just to make sure, when you said "Automatic updates are not supported by the driver yet (...) It's because it's the Windows version", what exactly do you mean? For instance, is it because the system is running an old version of Windows? Is that the scenario?

If that is correct, we would like to mention that in order to install the latest graphics driver, it is recommended to update the Operating System (OS) and the recommended Windows® versions are:

Windows 11 Family*

Windows 10* (21H2)

Windows 10* (21H1)

Windows 10* (20H2)

Windows 10* (20H1)

Windows 10* (19H2)

Windows 10* (19H1)

Windows 10* (RS5)

For instructions to update the operating system, please refer to this link: Update Windows*.

For additional instructions to update the graphics driver, you may review this article: How to Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows® 10 & Windows 11*.

Also, just to make sure since the thread has been marked as "Solved", please let us know if you need further assistance or if we can consider this request solved and close the thread?

Please do not hesitate to contact us back if you have additional inquiries.
